Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride! is one of the most ambitious films currently in production, with one of the most well-rounded casts in recent movie history.

Adapted from Mary Shelley’s 1818 classic novel Frankenstein, the movie will be released on September 26, 2025, where it will compete with the sixth edition of the horror film franchise Saw. The release date was moved to September from October 3 by Warner Bros., while also revealing the opening date of the final chapter in the Conjuring series: September 5, 2025.

Presumed Innocent, I guess one of Apple TV’s top shows (aggressively fine) just got renewed for a second season almost immediately after its first, yet their best show you probably haven’t seen, Sugar, languishes in limbo with no word whether its completely unhinged story gets to carry on.

Look, up until the end of episode six (if you know, you know), Sugar was a perfectly serviceable noir TV with a better-than-average cast led by Colin Farrell playing the titular John Sugar, a PI in Los Angeles with a heart of gold. The mystery was compelling; Farrell is always a highlight in anything, and if Amy Ryan (who had a supporting role) has no more fans left on this spinning rock, well, then I must be dead.

If weird and wonderful animated musical movies are your thing, then you are in for a treat. From the creative mind behind Centaurworld comes Bad Fairies. The animation will transport us to modern-day London, where a group of bad fairies is up to no good.

The musical is coming courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation, with Centaurworld‘s creator and director Megan Nicole Dong onboard as director. It was also recently announced that the project has Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the co-creators behind the Tony-award-winning musical Six, to write the songs for the animated film. If that wasn’t enough talent, Isabella Summers, the founding member of Florence and the Machines, is going to write and produce the songs.

A lot of expectations are riding on Gladiator 2, which will try to match the accolades and the public reception its predecessor, Gladiator, got during the time of its release.

There has been a lot of online discussion about the much-anticipated sequel in recent days, following the release of its first trailer. It can be seen in the trailer that the follow-up to the original largely has a new cast, with some old characters set to reprise their roles from the 2000 classic. On that note, here’s a complete list of the major Gladiator 2 characters:

Marvel Studios just dropped the tracklist for its upcoming Phase 5 foray, Deadpool & Wolverine—and trust me, this thing is absolutely bonkers. So buckle up and get ready for some serious musical whiplash, ’cause this baby’s got everything from ’60s doo-wop to K-Pop, and everything in between.

Deadpool & Wolverine will mark the MCU’s first R-rated endeavor since Disney acquired the IP from Fox, pairing the titular Merc with a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) with his IRL bestie Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) for a time-twisty buddy romp through the Multiverse. It’s sure to be chock-full of the same raunchy humor and gore that made the first two Deadpool movies so memorable, and it’s got a killer soundtrack to boot. And like most things Deadpool, it’s not afraid to do a little fourth wall breaking.

The show gave us a lot to work with in the end. We saw as Osha decided to go with Qimir, leaving Mae with the Jedi. We know that Vernestra Rwoh is lying and appears to be doing so with Yoda in the know. All of this leads to me wondering about everything else going on in the galaxy.

David E. Kelley’s legal thriller Presumed Innocent has become the most-streamed drama on Apple TV+, prompting the streaming service to order a second season.

Starring Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role as Rusty Sabich, the show’s first season is nearing its end, with the finale dropping on July 24. Apple’s claim that Presumed Innocent has achieved #1 on its all-time viewership charts would mean it has surpassed the Idris Elba-starrer show Hijack, which was the streamer’s most successful show last year, following in the footsteps of Ted Lasso‘s success. Kelley’s show will likely make an appearance on Nielsen’s upcoming streaming rankings, with its first two episodes missing out on their June 16 list, the last time the ratings were made available.

Taylor Swift shouldn’t be in Deadpool & Wolverine, but it’s not because it will anger the toxic fanboys. The bigger concern with a possible appearance is that its only purpose would be to feed into Swifties’ parasocial relationship with her.

Ever since the third Deadpool movie was announced, rumors have swirled that Swift will make a cameo. Given the film’s multiversal premise, anything is possible and it’s expected to have a few exciting and wild cameos. Fans have been clamoring for appearances from Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), and even for the introduction of Walker Scobell as Kidpool. Most of these cameos would make sense, given that they are existing MCU/X-Men or comic book characters. The only rumored cameo that would strike viewers as somewhat random would be an appearance from Swift.

The Boys’ season 4 finale features a tribute after the mid-credits scene, which reads “For Larry Kripke,” raising curiosity among viewers about who Kripke is.

The explosive finale of The Boys raises the show’s stakes higher than they’ve been before as M. M. (Laz Alonso) and his team race against the clock to stop the supes from gaining control of America. In the episode, Homelander (Antony Starr) and his accomplices plan to assassinate the president of the United States on January 6 in order to instate Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) as their puppet president. It was a story that got so close to real-life events that the show had to issue a content warning to clarify it wasn’t inspired by the recent assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump.

Ncuti Gatwa’s first Doctor Who season was definitely a hit. It had everything a Whovian could hope to see —life, death, heroics, and a strong bond between Doctor and companion. The finale was a bit confusing and silly maybe, but hey, you can’t have everything. So where do we go from here?

Well, there’s one thing I badly want, and that’s a resolution of some of the storylines from Jodie Whittaker’s era. If you were a hater of that era, maybe you wanted those storylines dropped, but I’m not sure if the show can go forward until it’s reconciled at least a little with the Timeless Child—the original, unknown, foundling child form of the Doctor.

The Boys season 4 finale hit a little too close home, leading the show and Prime Video to release a content warning about the parallels between the episode and recent real-life events, and to change the episode’s title.

It’s no secret that the primary antagonist, Homelander (Antony Starr), is a stand-in for former president Donald Trump, while his supporters parallel the MAGA movement. As a result, the show has always paralleled real-life events, as viewers watch Homelander’s unhinged campaign to gain power and see his supporters become radicalized and violent in real-time. However, season 4 has been making these comparisons more pronounced. For example, prior to the season finale, the supes are planning to overthrow the American government on January 6. Similarly, Firecracker (Valorie Curry) has been touting prominent real-world right-wing conspiracy theories to stir hysteria and rally support.
